Season 1: The Introduction
Olea /ˈo.le.a/ - Latin for Olive, it is based on an olive tree. The olive tree represents 2 things: Hope and Perseverance. Hope as when the earth was flooded the dove brought back an olive branch signifying there was land in sight. And perseverance. From the plant to oil, an olive tree needs both harsh winds and rain and gentle winds to grow fruit. An olive is bitter straight from the tree, it has to go through the process of being pressed and crushed in order to produce the most meaningful oil. Our lives are a lot like this. We all have stories that make us who we are, whether or not we allow them make us better.
Collective - A community of people. We are a community of people that have stories and depth to our lives. It’s what got us to where we are and it’s our way of connecting to others.
Inspired from the founders personal life, we have to have both the harsh and gentle seasons to grow us and get us to where we need to be. To reflect more of our God and love others better. You ultimately have the chance to respond to those seasons of your life. Who will you choose to become?
